Banana the super food!

I love bananas! They taste amazing but are also highly nutritious and offer numerous health benefits. They are rich in essential vitamins and minerals, particularly potassium, which helps regulate blood pressure and support heart health. They also contain vitamin C, vitamin B6, and dietary fiber, aiding in immune function, energy metabolism, and digestive health. Their natural sugars provide a quick and sustained energy boost, and they have a high antioxidant content to help combat oxidative stress and inflammation in the body. All this, plus being low in fat and cholesterol!

The only banana issue is that they produce ethylene gas, a natural plant hormone that plays a key role in the ripening process of many fruits...which sometimes means other fruit ripens too quickly. So today I treated myself to this fab banana dish so I can keep them by themselves ;o)
